Day and Night

Roshini was the day fairy. She looked after the day. Chandini was the night fairy. She took care of the night.
Once, Roshini and Chandini has a quarrel. Roshini said Chandini,"Day is better than your night. It is bright and beautiful."
Chandini replied,"Day is hot. Who can watch the bright sun? It will spoil the eye. Night is cool. The moon looks so pretty."
Roshini argued,"No one watches the night sky.Everyone watches TV at that time. Moreover, night sky is dark. The sky is very colourful at sunrise." chandini laughed. She said,"Who watches the sunrise? No one is awake at that time."
Both the fairies now felt sad. They stopped quarrelling. They decided to do something to make children watch the sunshine and the night sky. Just before sunrise, Roshini flew over the houses, tinkling her bell. She sang sweetly,
The sky is rosy,
Come and see.
It is a lot of fun,
To see the rising sun.
Children got up. They ran out and saw the sky. In the east, it was not only rosy; It was blue and orange and yellow too. They jumped for joy. Night came. Now Chandini's bell tinkled. She sang melodiously,
See the stars a-twinkling
See the moon a-smiling.

Children put off the TV and rushed out. They saw a million stars and the moon as well. They shouted in glee. Roshini and Chandini were not san anymore. They looked at each other and smiled.
